About VetAnvil
Why we're building VetAnvil.
Military transition brings decisions about work, healthcare, benefits, home, and family. VetAnvil is being built to make those next steps more connected.
One transition, many separate decisions
Leaving the military is not one decision. It is a job search, a change in healthcare, benefits to apply for, often a move, and a family adjusting alongside you. Each of those runs through a different organization, with its own forms, timelines, and logins.
Military transition is a family transition
A civilian career decision can change where a household lives, how a spouse works, and how a family organizes education, caregiving, and support. VetAnvil is being built to connect these decisions while recognizing that service members, spouses, and caregivers have distinct goals and responsibilities. Its broader ambition is lifelong veteran and family success.
Starting over with every organization
Because those organizations rarely share context, service members and veterans end up telling the same story again and again: re-entering service history, re-uploading documents, and re-explaining their goals to each new office, employer, or program.
More directories are not the answer
There is no shortage of resources for veterans. Another list of links does not tell someone which step comes next, or carry what they have already shared into the next conversation. What is missing is coordination.
Why we start with transition
Transition is when the most decisions arrive at once, and when the Transition Assistance Program already gives service members a structure to work through. VetAnvil starts there, with career translation and job exploration, VA and community care search, benefits organization, and Transition Assistance Program (TAP) tools.
The need does not end at separation
Careers change, families move, and healthcare and benefits needs keep evolving for decades after service. We want what a veteran builds during transition to stay useful long after it.
Connect, don't replace
VetAnvil is not trying to replace the VA, TAP, employers, or veteran service organizations. They make the decisions and deliver the services. Our role is to help veterans reach them with less repetition, and to keep veterans in control of what they choose to share.
Where we are headed
Our long-term goal is a veteran-controlled relationship that lasts: one trusted platform for life, connecting people, organizations, and opportunities across every stage of the journey. That is a direction, not a finished product, and we will be plain about what is available today.
Platform capabilities
Service members and veterans can use VetAnvil for career translation and job exploration, VA and community care search, benefits organization, and Transition Assistance Program (TAP) tools.
